Manual Trannies Rule!

I have driven cars with MTs for many years. My current ride is a 2005 S2000 with 6MT, the only tranny available. It is just so fine, among the best of the best! I drove an 07 G35 Coupe Sports, 6MT, and got the hang of it right away. I thought it was good, although not in a class with the slick S2K. Maybe the O7s are an improvement over the earlier years? I dunno.

I'll be getting a G37 (loaded) about this time next year; you can BET it will be manual!

Well, I won't be saying anything different from those that haven't regretted getting a manual. Been driving a stick for 15 years and every time I'm in an Auto, I'll admit it's fun but nothing like leaving a couple of car lengths gap from the car in front of you, and then revving and hearing the exchaust and letting the car move forward and still be able to control your speed and distance accurately.

With the exception of the family cars, my personal cars have all been of the manual tranny type . . . And have been for some 30 years. Even after 10's of 1000's of city driving, rush hour traffic, steep S.F. hills, etc., I have never had a regret with my choice.

Having said that, not everyone finds it suitable to drive a car equipped with a manual transmission under all conditions.

I'd rather be stuck in L.A. rush hour traffic with a 6MT than have an open road with a 5AT.

No offense AT5 but I would never buy a G coupe auto. I am surprised honestly that they make so many of them. I would never get one. MT6 for life!

I have been driving manual's for many years and I didn't think twice about ordering my G with one...until I first drove it, it made me doubt my ability until I read on here that the jerking and rough shifting was normal. It definitely takes getting used to. Now after 11,000 miles the only time I regret it is after a hard leg workout with my trainer! I could hardly push the clutch this morning. lol. The salesman tried to talk me into an auto, I think its because I'm a woman. I told him as long as I'm able to push in a clutch I will own a manual. I love the control of a manual.

Wow, I never in a millions years would have even fathomed the idea of someone asking if I had regretted getting a manual! Man, I love the way this car is being a stick, I just cant imagine it any other way! Auto is great, but DAMN N.I.G.G.A. this car is meant to be abused! FTMFW!!!

My G is my play car. The wife has a car and I have a work car. I still got an auto as the wife doesn't know how to drive a manual. I'd prefer a manual, as I'd drive it rarely and would enjoy it more. But no big deal.
When I bought my 07 G coupe, the dealer didn't have a single manual on the lot.

i think infiniti makes 90% 5AT's and 10% 6MT's thats why dealers have one or none at all most of the time!!!
