2007 has less hp and tq?
on MSN.com autos, for the g35, why is the 2007 the lowest for HP and tq?
on all other coupe models it says 2003-04 280hp/270tq , and 05-06 298hp/260tq
Coupe Trims
3.5L 275 hp
Torque (lb-ft) 268 @ 4800 RPM
Coupe Coupe 6MT
3.5L 295 hp
260 @ 4800 RPM
if this was due to a new rating system, which i know was in effect for 04, why was the g35 the only car i see affected
ultimately, is the 2007 slower?

I was under the impression that 2006 and under engines still used the older J1359 JUN1995. The M45 was effected as well when they used J1349 AUG2004 (it went down a whopping 5HP), I would have thought the reduction in HP/TQ (on paper) was due to finally using J1349 AUG2004 also on the VQ.
Please spend some [more] time searching...this topic has been covered several times already.

I thought the new SAE correction rating system went into effect for 07 models, rather than Standard rating that was used 03-06.
Non revup VQ's I thought were always 280hp, with revups (05-06) at 298hp prior to current required SAE industry standards.
