320-345 miles per tank. Just a few mods, cai, race pipes, and pulleys. Average about 50/50 highway/city. Do anywhere from 70 to 90 on the expressway.

I am midway through my experiment. So far i am in economy mode with my tune and redlined the car 7 times. Other times only shift below 2500 rpm. Right now i am 1/2 tank and drove 195 miles. I am confident i can hit 450 with ease if i don't redline the car again. this is with 50/50% highway/street driving.

Excuse me for being a noob. You have an "Economy mode tune" from Osiris/Uprev? How is it different between regular and economy tunning (performance/daily driving ability/MPG) as you can feel right now? Were both map tuned using the same octane rating?

Thanks for your info.

saw this post couple days ago..filled up Sunday night...Im at half a tank and I'm @ 212mi. I'm in Houston and far from a granny driver. I am like Htownboy - I either follow who is going fastest and/or normally pass them - alot of highway driving, zig zagging, jumping off exit ramps and back on (people hate me on the drive in to work in the mornings). So, I guess Im looking @ hitting 400 easy......

I have 06 G35C - no mods - using premium only.

It makes the driving and ownership experience more rich to focus on all the details about the car. Some people find it fun to try to stretch their gas milleage too and see how good they can get it. Unfortuantely, fun driving and gas-milleage-sensitive driving are polar opposites... and you can't do both at the same time.

I'm tring to stretch my gas right now, just out of curiousity to see how good of fuel economy I can get my car to do with the bigger tires on it now. With my original tires I was able to get as high as 25.2 MPG for a tank in which I did about 20% highway and a lot of short 7 or 8 mile trips. It seems like with my newer/bigger tires, I can't really get it to go above 23.7 with superpbabying the car and shortshifting to the extreme.

economy tune has less timing and runs leaner than regular mode below 4k rpm therefor saving more fuel. When u go WOT from low RPM it feels like the car has VTEC like the s2k because when it gets to 4k rpm the car suddenly becomes awake. It is not THAT much slower than the regular mode but low RPM u can feel the difference. Yes it was tuned for 91 octane. Nothing but 91 goes into my car ever.

I've been averaging around 350 a fillup, but it's only taking 14-16 gallons on a fillup.

If I were to run a full tank, I think 400+ would be easy enough. I do a lot of mixed driving with an emphasis on freeway and I ain't always light on the throttle either.

So far, I'm seeing a lot people have made up to 400 miles per tank. See, our G is not as bad on MPG as alot people in here complained...it's all about driving habit of each person. For me, I'm enjoying cruising (Grandpa Driving Style) not speeding...that's why I get 400+ per tank easily.

My engine is stock by the way.

has your wheel /tire diameter changed since you added aftermarket rims? They most likely have, and if they have gotten larger in diameter you have made your effective gearing shorter. Your freeway gas mileage is sure to be better if that's the case. What size tires are you running?
