This is fcking BS. I live in an apartment that means my car will stay out with one window down through the whole night and I dont live in a nice neighborhood. I had the motor replaced about 8 months ago. If you guys knew how fcking pissed I am right now. I will prolly sit by my window through the whole night keeping an eye on my car

did you try banging on your door where the motor sits then try to roll the window up again? this trick got my windows to roll up while i was waiting for my replacement motor to come in.

 

temporarily tape cardboard/trashbag over the window until you fix it. Wont look nice but it offers better security than no window.

You could try the old redneck technique...duct tape and a spackle knife! Solves any problem. Pull back the rubber, carefully slide a 9-10 inch piece of tape down in there (leverage/attach it to the glass with the spackle knife), then pull that sucker up and duct tape it shut from the inside. Then raise hell with Infiniti.

 

Soo is this a common problem... ?cause every once in a while my window doesnt wanna roll down/up unless i hit the switch or where the motor would be...

 

It's carbon building up in the window motor. You don't need to replace it. You can just take it apart and clean it. Very very common issue with Gs and Zs.

 

u know what when i had the same problem i called the dealer and the service guy there told me to hit the interior door panel with my hand while holding the button in the up position... sadly enough it actually worked...

 

i had the same problem but i took the motor out and hit it to hard i broke it completely. lol

 

you have to punch your interior door panel and roll the window up at the same time... The mechanic at the infiniti dealer showed me that trick because I had to go.. otherwise they would have fixed it
