now look at the pic and input the infiniti logo.
i think when they make these logos, sometimes they purposely try to make it look like a bunch of things.
sideways figure 8 for infinity + mt fuji = infiniti logo. or even those parallel lines. they could've always made it look uglier by making it look more square like this |_/\_| who knows. [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Well they had to come up with something. The real "infinity" name and symbol had been trademarked long before Nissan began selling "infiniti's."

The first Q45 had a "different" Infiniti symbol on the front of the car, but it was essentially the same thing.

It was a "squarish" bracket around the Mt Fuji symbol that was raised up -- that made the symbol look bigger.. I think it was more for embellishment than to be a different symbol.
