Road Kill - Volvo C70

I don't usally do it, but conditions were right.
I let him get the jump from the light just to see if he was game, so he was like two car lengths in front, but by the end of 3rd gear I was two in front and we both let off.

Don't they have something like a 245 hp turboed 5cyl. ?

Anyway, we both waived at the next light.
Just thought I'd share.

Take Care,

Chops

Re: Road Kill - Volvo C70

My dad drives a C70 convertible. It comes in the Low pressure turbo (197 hp @ something ilke 2100 rpms), and a high pressure turbo (247 hp @ like 6100 rpms). They both have the same 0-60 and the High pressure has a .1 second faster 1/4. Regardless of that, ive driven it, and its most defiantely a FWD cruiser, no intentions of being a sports car whatsoever. Good kill though.

Re: Road Kill - Volvo C70

im sorry, but doesnt the c70 volvo hit 60mph from a stand still in only 6secs flat?? cause if so, you must've raced someone who was not a very good driver. im not much of a volvo fan myself. when it comes to sport performance. im much more of a porsche guy myself. boxster to be exact.

Re: Road Kill - Volvo C70

Why are you racing a Volvo. What have do you have to gain from it. "Oh I beat a Volvo!" Reply: "Yeah ok that's really cool, maybe you should start racing Yellow School Bus from now on" Especially the C70 convert which is a 98-99 model. 5-6 years old technology. If I remember right those 0-60 is around 6.7 to 7 seconds. Want to have a little more fun try the new S60R. Still why race a Volvo. :-/ WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY!
