55k and the service engine soon light went on..
So today I was driving to school and suddenly the service engine soon light went on.. kinda scare the shxt out of me.. there are couple questions I wanna ask you guys.
1. First of all, I won't have time until this Friday to go to the dealership. Is it safe to drive with the service engine light on??
2. When the light comes up, does that mean I really need a engine service?
3. If I do my 55k service at somewhere else other than Infiniti dealership, would they be able to turn off the service engine light? I know some cars like Acura, they can only get their cars maintain at the dealership so they can turn off those light. Correct me if I am wrong.
I've never driven til a point that the service engine light went on, so it kind of scare me today the whole day. Any opinions are welcome! Thank you guys.

Sorry, WTF is a engine soon light? Are you Korean and when was the last
time you changed your oil? Once you check your fluid levels it's probably
allright to drive for a day or so....mine says," check engine light." Guess I don't have a SES light....I hope!

If you guys are running some sort of test pipe or high flow Cat, I can guarantee with a high degree of certainty that the SES light probably is an emissions related issue, maybe a faulty O2 sensor.

I just got back from a friend's dad's shop and found out my throttle body went bad.. He reset it for me and told me to drive around a lil bit and if the light goes back on then I would have to take it to the stealership. Has anyone change out his/her throttle body before? OEM or aftermarket? What brand??
