woohoo. Thats the way to hang in there. Good for you on not giving up.

Now, just for fun, call Carbiz and tell them you forgot something in your car that you need ... (registration, insurance, cd's, whatever) and see if they'll tell you which Infiniti dealer its at. I'd head over right afterwards and talk to a service person. Carbiz has already proven untrustworthy so make sure its being done right.

I am unfamiliar in this territory so hopefuly one of the engine gurus can speak up but I'm pretty sure you want a whole new engine and you want the paper work from Infiniti saying that its a new engine and they installed it. As I said, Carbiz has already shown to be shady so be sure to take those extra steps to cover your own ***.

What the ***... for the millionth time... the dealer has to prove that the mod in question caused the failure... now will a non OEM cold air intake break your 5th cylinder and/or cause your piston rods to bend? Well... I could not imagine Infi giving you crap about that stuff... go to a different dealership... or if none of them budge - threaten to take them to court...

1. They need to prove that your non OEM caused the issues - very hard
2. Why dont you swap back a OEM intake and take her in to another dealership?

That is great news bro. Enjoy your shiny new engine bud. Good for you. You were not in the wrong as they have just proved. Your mom should be proud. Remember to break in your new engine too. Don't hot rod around for a little while. Don't use anything less than premium fuel also. It costs a little more per years ( like $250 ) but your car is totally worth it.

I hope you are not just saying that to appease us and you are really getting a new motor... CONGRATS MAN!! You deserve to have a car that is in good running order... make sure you get ALL paperwork on everything they did and keep it somewere safe...

After reading the post where you were about to give up I was going to call them and give them a piece of my mind!

that's awesome man, congrats on sticking to your guns and seeing this through. unfortunately i think you learned that there are a lot of shady ppl out there, and being young can label you as a target for them. you have to learn to not accept no for an answer and stick up for what you think is right.

I'm glad it worked out bro, and now you can keep your G and be a part of the Driver community

Since you are getting a new engine, make sure you break it in properly. Seriously. Also, I heard some stuff about a hard break-in, which I would try, which is just getting the piston rings to seal or something. It;s just driving hard for the first 15 miles, so see if that's something you wanna do. Research it.

So, I started to wash my car today, because they gave it to me over the weekend as they had no loaners and it is getting a new motor anyway,
but i started spraying the car down with water....

and paint started peeling off the front bumper...
haha

when will this nightmare end...

2 window motors
tire pressure sensor
needs front end alignment
needs new motor
something wrong with the clutch, it grinds when pressed
and now paint peeling off the bumper.

All in 1 month.. Seriously what the hell.

enough is enough already. go onto carbiz, say enough is enough. Ask for your money back. If they say no, leave the keys and car with them and let them know you'll be retaining an attorney (if you havent already) and they'll be in contact soon as well as BBB.

Do not accept anything less than exactly what you paid. You need to get your money back now.

Where is this darn place? I'll drive up there today and give them a piece of my mind. Pikesville is not far from me. Give them the car back and drop the keys off with them and insist on a full refund. Tell them you're not going to be taken advantage of anymore and if they refuse tell them that they will be hearing from your lawyer.

What is the name of the salesman that sold you the car? I just might want to go see him...

I found out that the car must have been in a minor fender bender..
Because it came up clean on carfax, but The front bumper is a little crooked.

Its off on one side by about 1/4 inch.

which leads me to believe that it was a cheap repaint done anyway or something.

So i'll pay out of pocket for that. I got quoted 180 for that.
Or I may in a couple weeks or so, Get that GTR front bumper for the G35.

Anyone seen or like that?

Also, anyone think getting the roof painted black like them scions would look okay?

Heres my cripped ,but still beautiful baby.
