Even if a car is totalled and rebuilt if it was not put on insurance it will not have a salvage title or show up on carfax!

Post a ph# so we can all start to call this dealer and twist an arm or two.

I'm local and have offered to go there myself, maybe he doesn't want us meddling, or maybe he doesn't want to listen much.

To the OP, you're getting a raw deal. I bought my 04 sedan with 30k miles for 16k, 18k out the door taxed, tagged and titled 1 month ago. Get your money back and tell them to go sit on their thumbs.

wow, I just read this whole thread. that place is the stereotypical used car lot.
I hope the OP gets all this resolved without giving up.

I don't think it's legal to sell a car with major engine issues without informing you before the purchase. You should get a lawyer.

If you want to buy a used car from a dealer, your best bet is to get it from a new car dealers used car inventory. They only keep and sell the best of the trade ins they get. Independent used car dealers get their cars from auctions where the cars taken from dealers that take in trade and do not feel they are worthy of putting on their lots and bank repossessions are sold. Even with the 30 day warranty required by Maryland law, they don't have to use new parts to perform repairs, so in case of a bad engine, they take the cheapest way out, which is a junk yard motor. As long as it lasts past the 30 days, they are in the clear.I heard of stories where used car dealers would put bananas in the differential, rags under the valve covers and 50 straight weight oil to quieten down noisy engines and gears. I would never buy a used car from an independent used car dealer.

Because it came up clean on carfax, but The front bumper is a little crooked.

Its off on one side by about 1/4 inch.

which leads me to believe that it was a cheap repaint done anyway or something.

So i'll pay out of pocket for that. I got quoted 180 for that.
Or I may in a couple weeks or so, Get that GTR front bumper for the G35.

Anyone seen or like that?

Also, anyone think getting the roof painted black like them scions would look okay?

Heres my cripped ,but still beautiful baby.

That is an 06 sport bumper on your 03, so that would explain the paint. Probably got into a front end accident, and they replaced it with an 06 front and did a cheap paint job on it. Also you are facing a potential motor swap, court battle with carbiz, I think mods should be the last thing on your mind, especially if you need proof from Infiniti that the problems weren't caused by aftermarket parts.

By the way, don't take your car to Jim Coleman Infiniti for any help, they are a bunch of ****ers. Someone should burn that place down.

Anyways given all of these problems, I would still push for a full refund. The car looks to be in terrible shape, and you never know what else is being hidden. Used car lots are excellent at concealing problems, and they will slowly begin to pop up as you own the car for the next several months. I would retain a lawyer, do whatever you have to do to get RID of this car.

6 pages now of listening to you whine about Carbiz, asking for help and this is your best? You want to spend more money out of pocket after everyone's advice to get a lawyer and a refund in full?

For the love of GAWD, **** or get off the pot, man. If your just going to take it, against everyone's advice, then quit whining about it. Otherwise, post about how your resolving it and not about how much more liability your trying to add. I can totally see how you got snowed at that place.

Sorry I havent checked this for a while.
No i dont need anyone going to Carbiz to complain or whatever.

I dropped the car off Tuesday, Wednesday I got a call from the Warranty company , Later that day I got a call from Carbiz, The claim was approved and there waiting on an engine now.

They gave me a loaner car, the check engine light came on in that.
Go figure haha.

Im 17 stop telling me to get a lawyer, I cant get anyone to do anything , Im a child in everyones eyes.

Im curious to see what goes into the car engine wise. I cant trust these people for anything so we'll see.

And if anyone just wants to go to Carbiz for whatever reason. Its the Carbiz on Reisterstown Road. But Carbiz West in woodlawn currently has the car I think.

And yes, I probably am going to trade it in , In december when I turn 18.

Now whether I get another G35 or not.

I dont think I can possibly ever trust buying another used car again.

is the warranty void if the car has a salvage title but has been rebuilt?
