Question wtf is wrong with my car?

Hello everyone

I have an 03 g35 6mt

This weekend my car started acting crazy and I have no clue what it could be.

if I turn the car off during the day every thing is fine.
if I turn the car off at night (auto headlights on) the headlights turn off but the parking lights do not, then the fan turns on.
if I put my key back it and turn it to on (but not start) every thing stops and it acts like it should

the lights never turn off but the fan will stop for about 30 sec every 5 min.

and if I turn the switch for the lights to off as soon as I take the key out they turn back on and the fan starts aging

this is making me crazy I have know idea what it could be

for the mean time I have been just pulling the neg off the battery.
if its night time and i hook up the batt. it does the same thing.
hook up the batt in the day every thing is fine.

I already tried resting the computer
please help

thanks
Chad

ps. if I didnt post this in the right spot I would like to aploigize in advance.

I am totally guessing but it almost sounds like the sensor on the mirror which detects day or night is not working properly. I don't think it's your ignition and I hope it's not. The mirror is expensive but the ignition I believe is even more plus the install. Good luck and hope it's nothing serious. I would get it to Infiniti or your mechanic ASAP though. I'm not sure where you are but it's getting cold and it would suck to have a dead battery.

what mirror? not the one rear view mirror?

where is that sensor i always thought it was in the dash.

i first thought it was the sensor but why is it turning on the fan. (not sure if its the rad fan or the ac, didn't look at it that close)

its completely unrelated systems.

on the plus side i have an extended warranty so I think im going to take it to Infiniti.

this isn't my daily driver so its not that big of a deal.

^^^ Same here, first thing came up my mind is the sensor on the dash. You can see them under the windshield, that sensor probably need to replace. If you want to know, since its day time. Get a card board cover the sensors see if it will do the same.

i understand what your saying but the sensor works fine when the car is on "i turn the key to on"

it only go crazy when the car is in "sleep" mode. but only if the sensor was reporting dark b4 the sleep mode

im dropping it off at infiniti tonight ill see what they say

Sensor can make things crazy like that, because it may acts as a shortage. Anyway, keep us posted after being checked out. I want to know the issue as well.

My G did the same thing last month, but only once. It drained the battery but left the right headlight on and the left side marker (weird). I shut it off and jumped it and it hasn't repeated...

Hmm def a weird issue. Have you done an ECU reset? How long did you leave the battery disconnected for? I would leave it disconnected for 10 minutes.
