What intake should I use!

Alright guys i have searched plenty on the intakes on here and decided to go with the injen. But the past few days i seen a big loss in the bottum end. I already bought the injen but i have a friend with a 350z that i an sell to and get his z tube. But i want to know what is the best performing. I hate the way popcharger looks so thats out of the question. Should i keep my intake, get the z tube and K&N filter, or get the ztube and get the stillen intake. Im really just up in the air. I just want the best performance even if its minimal and a nice sound. If there are any other intakes that i missed or suggestions feel free to chime in. Im just all up in the air and i kno that the intakes dont give alot of performance but whatever one really performs the best i want. I kno intakes are really for looks and sound on our car. So can someone help me decide on something. Thx

With any CAI for this car, you will lose bottom end.
Popcharger sounds great, but you'll lose some horses due to heat soak.
Either stay with the stock airbox + z-tube or go with z-tube + Stillen, IMO.
Stock airbox is best performance, unless you get a tune (but that's only worth it if you have other breather modifications done to your car [i.e. headers, testpipes/hfcs, exhaust].

Right now i just have catback. But my plans are hfc's, plenum spacer, and intake then tune. Thats really all the breather mods execpt headers. So does that change anything in what i should get? Also will a injen intake for my car fit an 06 350z?

i've also wondered about this. i've been hearing that the ztube + k&n is ur best bet. i think the z tubes go for around 50-60 bones

what i dont get about our intakes is.. we just basically switch to a 350z intake as g35 owners..there must be something better.. cause otherwise wat do 350z owners upgrade to?

So many choices for intakes....!

The Stillen intake with the z-tube is great, that was my first mod....I think!
You could get by with a z-tube and a K&N drop in filter. Once you've
installed the spacer you won't have lost any bottom end. With the
intake, spacer and exhaust they all work together to make HP and a fun
car to drive....

So gary your saying all intakes lose bottum end but when i get the spacer it will even out. Or if i use the injen and then get the spacer the bottum end will come back? Thx for the info. Alright this is what it comes down to should i use the injen or get the stillen. Which one performs better? And can anyone answer about the injen i bought for my car fit on a 06 350z

If it fits on a Z, then it fits on a G. Long tube intakes aren't great on these cars, and keep in mind that short rams without a heatshield (and even some with heatshields) just soak up heat (which isn't good on performance either).

Like everybody has been saying here and in any other intake thread on this site, the stock intake with z-tube and drop in filter is the best set-up you can have. But if you must get an intake for whatever your reasons are, go with the Jim Wolf POP Charger or the Stillen. They both utilize the stock ram air duct, only the Stillen heatshield looks to be a bit more restrictive, although I'm not sure if it'll matter. But the most these things will really do is generate a louder hissing sound when you step on the gas, and maybe shift a bit of responsiveness from the bottom to the top end.

Now, if you're more serious about making power with some minor bolt-on mods, get a plenum spacer, some HFCs, and a reflash instead.
