So anyway it's very small it was cause by a small little rock DAMN NYC STREETS. I need some urgent advice i don't know if I should change the whole front window or if i should get it fixed. The guy told me that if you don't fix it now that small little crack will start getting bigger. So guys should i change the front window? (Damn it that's another $300) Does infiniti do this? cause if do decide to change the whole window i want to go straight to the dealer and get it where it should be done or is there something else i can do. I'm in NYC if anybody know of any good spots out here please let me know.

If it's relatively small (ie. smaller than a quarter) then I would just go and repair it. I had this done on my old 318i back in '96 and when I sold it in 2000 it hadn't changed/expanded at all. Better to deal with it now, before you really have to replace the whole windsheild! Plus the cost of repairing a small chip is relatively inexpensive.
Hope thaat helps.

A good auto glass retailer should be able to save it b4 it 'grows'. You need to get it looked at ASAP. Good luck.

I would take care of it as soon as you can. On my toyota pickup I had a similiar very small crack. I got it while off roading but never thought to repair it. About 2 months after it happened I left the truck sitting in the hot sun all day while I was shopping at a mall. When I came out around sunset and got in my truck the small crack had tripled in size and was now about 6 inches long. That summer was very hot and some how I think the constant excessive heat and cooling at night caused it. By the time the summer was over it was almost 12 inches. Get it fixed quick man...

No way fix it... its a brand new car dude! Claim in on your insurance get that bad boy replaced with a whole new windsheild. You'll thank me later when it comes to resale value.

Most insurance companies will cover the cost to fix a chip (less expensive than waiting for the chip to turn into a crack and have to replace to entire windshield). Your insurance should cover the cost to replace the windshield (minus deductible). There's probably a limit on how long a crack has to be before the whole windshield gets replaced, the dealership can probably tell you that.

If the crack is small, I would get it repaired by a certified glass repairman, rather than replacing the whole windshield. A factory sealed windshield is a lot better than a windshield that has been replaced by someone.

If your insaller knows what he is doing, there will be no problems with the install.
Plus, if your insurance company is worth anything, they will warranty the repair if something is wrong.
If you get it repaired, you will always see it and it will bug the crap out of you until you fix it.

Re: AHHHHH NOOOO!!!! DAMN ROCKS
i agree, if its small just get it fixed, not replaced, shouldnt cost too much,
non-factory windshield replacement will never be as good as factory seal, windnoise galore!
