Whats the best way to get a moderate drop? like 2 inches max. Coilovers? Also I want an oem grill in matte black. Is there any place to find them already painted or do you just buy a chrome one and paint it?

Do it yourself, its like 1.5 hours per corner if your new at it and you can set them up yourself and know they have been done right.

All you need is some liquid wrench, and some tools and you'll be fine.

should not take 1.5 hours per corner....i did my springs and shocks all 4 within 3 hours..coilovers would have been easier and quicker imo..

op you can get pretty good guides online and do it yourself if you are mechanically inclined with normal tools..

Best component speakers to replace non-Bose stock system?

Hello,

I recently purchased a used '07 G35 Coupe without a Bose system and have started on some audio upgrades.
I am looking to purchase a great sounding set of component speakers to put in my doors but I have been having doubts about what will fit since Crutchfield claims that only two pairs of component sets fit in my coupe doors (none of which I was interested in buying).

This is what I have in the car:
Pioneer AVH-P1400DVD- head unit
Alpine SWR-10D2- sub
Sound Storm (SSL) F3600D- amp
Rockford Fosgate Punch P200-2- amp (for the future components)

This is what I was looking to add:
Focal 165VB components

I would really appreciate any input or recommendations from you guys. I have a budget of about $300 bucks for these speakers, so if anyone feels like there are better speakers out there than the Focals, please let me know.
Again my main concern is finding speakers that will fit the doors without any major modifications aside from a Zenclosure adapter.

Thanks guys

Looking at BC coil overs, what are everyones opinions on BC? I dont want to drop it more than 1.5 inches. I'm hoping to get a good ride. Can anyone share their thoughts? Thanks, Andrew.

Total Noob here, bout to get the 5/16 spacer everyone says to get and probably the mRev. Do either of these things burn up the engine? or have any negatives like a supercharger does?

Thanks for the replies fellas!

I got Megan racing track series. I could set the car down on the ground if i wanted to and still have room to take it lower. It's their top of the line set and comparable to bc and stance entry level stuff. Saved me some cash as far as price.

Noob here, been taking pointers from everyone on her for at least two years. Came up with this list of mods for myself and wanted feedback on potential missed steps. This is my second G35 and want to do this one right.Any input would be appreciated folks.

Here's my to do list for 2012:
- Megan Racing Headers
- Same 5/16 Copper ISO Thermal Plenum Spacer
- Tanabe Sustec Pro S-0C Street & Track Coilovers
- Stillen Rear Strut Brace
Sway Bar Set
Rear Camber Arm Brace
- GT Spec Tie Bars (Front, rear, and rear lateral reinforcement brace
- HKS Limited Shift **** White (cosmetic)

Like I said, may be skipping steps here, but would appreciate a heads up on anything missed.
Thanks guys and hope to start being a competent G35 owner after these Mods.
