Replacing your OEM cats with HFC's or test pipes is also one of the better mods you can do as the OEM cats are very restrictive.

I think mickeydese wants to go turbo so I dont think the Mrev2 would be a good upgrade unless he wanted to make gains now and replace with something else later on when he ready to go turbo

Here is my question though, right before the HKS resonators I have a simple x pipe installed, if I were to get the magnaflow one, would I just keep the x pipe on there now and have it welded to the magnaflow one and have 2 x pipes lol, or just get straight piping to the magnaflow?

The magnaflow resonated one will replace your simple x-pipe.

another noob here.. lookin for advice

hey guys i'm new to the board so please bare with my n00b (heard a million times and counting) ways.... i just picked up my 06 6mt on wednesday and i'm lookin for some advice.. i've already ordered the APR GTR35 wide body kit and i'm still undecided on which rim/tire combo i'm going to end up with.. Now my questions are not involving the rim/tire combo because i'm sure if i asked everyone i'd end up seeing 100 different types.. As of now (body kit and rims/tires$$ already adjusted) i have 30k to work with. My previous car was a SC 96 GSR and to be honest i wasn't really particular with the sc.. I understand the smog situation with turbo kits which doesn't matter to me.. but i guess what i'm really wanting to know is i've done a bit of research and noticed that everytime someone is selling an engine they ask has it been force fed.. how damaging is FI to the system? i understand that trying to heavy boost a stock motor is a remedy for blowing it so.. go ahead and build the motor? My car is bone stock as it sits. Please in your own opinion.. with the money i have allotted to spend on the car... A list of what mods and in which order(so as not having to pull and replace the motor several times) Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Yeah i was looking at the brian crower kits.. i was searching to see how anyones FI worked W/ the kit but i couldn't find anything.. i figure if i stroke it and the whole engine is out i might as well build bottom up.. i just don't know what all that should entail..or stroke friendly Turbo kits

I would only recommend a stroker kit if your looking for big numbers and going all out on the longblock. A fully stroked FI build w/supporting mods can eat up that $30k rather quickly. Depending on what kind of power your looking for, a forged shortblock should suffice. Research the FI sections on both here and my350z.com. BTW, good choice on the body kit.

Here's my 06mt looking to get around 450wheel but want to to be reliable. Motor is all stock and so is suspension. What would be the best and most reliable to reach 450wheel?
