Please bare with me on this incredibly n00b question.

This is not so much a question a bout mods, this is a question about transmission...

My dilemma is, do i get the MT or the AT...
So I'm 21 and have had an AT for the last 5 years. Well now that car is being sold because i want a G. It's going to be a daily driver, so to work (in heavy traffic on the freeway almost every day). I also would like to drive a little faster every once in a while too. But I'm not buying it for racing.
The only MT I've ever driven (only for like 2 weeks) is a slammed 72 Toyota Hilux with the OEM MT, lol, so its safe to say i don't a lot/any MT experience.

I just read through the whole first page of "How to drive a MT" thread, some really good info in there.

So my real dilemma is, i want the 5AT with Tiptronic (manumatic, what-have-you), obviously because of the daily driving aspect with traffic and stuff, being an easier car to drive, more luxurious if you will. But i feel like if i get the 5AT and i get a taste of what potential the G has as far as performance, i don't want to regret buying the AT. In the same token, i would love a 6MT for the performance aspect of it, but i dont want to regret it in the long run because of the pain in the azz-ness it is in traffic, i mean i live in San Diego, so there can be pretty bad rush hour at times.

I know this is a huge n00b question, i come from the desert offroad world, where MT's are used wayyyy differently than in sports cars. So please bare with me on this one, and be happy i didn't make a whole dedicated thread for such a stupid question.

You clearly should not be answering questions...you should be asking them.

Well since this thread is about what MODS to get for your G: if you were to get an AT, there is a valve body upgrade available to improve shifting performance of the auto trans.

Better off making a new (or searching for an old) MT vs AT thread if you need help making that decision.

I'm new here and I can even tell you with about 45 seconds to a minute of searching the forum you can find the answer.

Guys a question for you all. I'm trying to decide on a front bumper for my 04 coupe. I wanted to ask if anyone knew what front bumper is on the red coupe at the pictured at the top center of the forum. Thanks!

Look up MREV2, Plenum spacer, and then High Flow Cats (HFCs).

Depending on your definition of "affordable", you're looking at about a grand for all that if purchasing new. Can always find used to save some cash.
