For exhaust I would go with MotorDyne. Your gonna be spending some money but they have a lot of knowledge. They've done all the research possible and have the best set up.

I just recently got my 2005 Infiniti G35. What is the best mod to do for better performance and sound?

Just last week I purchased an Injen Cold Air Intake and let me tell you, it makes an awesome sound especially in the high revs. And you can get one for about $250, so pretty cheap. It also adds some power as well.

Intake makes awesome sounds, but no real horsepower gains. For $250 I would've gone with Stillen to cut back on possible heat soak issues in the summer. I have the Stillen, it sounds awesome, but it just makes me drive faster, not necessarily GO faster

High flow cats, and intake spacer (with MREV2 if revup) seem to show the biggest HP gains for your dollar.

Well, catalytic converters are part of the exhaust system that reduce the emissions coming out of the exhaust. They are almost always restrictive and reduce air flow throughout the exhaust. High flow cats allow for a higher flow through the exhaust system while still letting you pass emissions during inspection. They also make the exhaust note sound louder and I would say deeper too.

hi flow cats are exactly what it says, high flow catalytic converter. say oem has 900 cells, hi flow might be only 400 cells inside, cutting backpressure but more than half. don't quote me on the number of cells, i really forgot.

people prefer hi flow instead of straight pipe because you might still pass smog, not as much raspy sound, exhaust doesnt smell as bad, and maybe, just maybe they care about the environment? lol

Any good?

Hey, I have an 04 coupe. I have inside an Injen Cold Air Intake,

I have also OBX headers as a paperweight inside my garage.. I'm thinking of getting a tanabe medalion touring exhaust.. Will I notice anything significantly in power? I'm a noob when it comes to cars, and I just want to get a little bit of the "wheeeeeee~" roller coaster feeling.. Am I still far from it?

Any suggestions, replies greatly appreciated. thanks!
