is it that far off? I'm not saying its a 75 hp gain at the wheels or anything, "on paper" they claim
Z-tube, +7, Hi-flow cats, +15, Stillen exhaust +15, headers +15, MD 5/16" plenum spacer +15,
MREV2 +15

A dyno tune with all these mods will gain 10-15 hp at the wheels (around 250)

headers require alot of labor, so the cost isnt worth what you get out of it

Umm where are you getting that a 5/16 spacer and mrev2 will each get 15hp?? For nonrevs the mrev2 is fairly useless, for the revup the spacer doesn't add much more on top of the mrev2. Both of these are rated in gains in the curve itself, not peak hp.

Any test pipe will throw a code, non-foulers for the sensors will be required.

ok so im finally at the point where im gonna be placing orders for some upgrades.. i have about 1100-1200 to spend...i want a exhaust but i kinda think ill benifit more buying more of smaller mods then dumping it all on a exhaust..

i was thinkin
MD spacer
maybe some light weight pullys but i dont know what underdrivin is..
grounding kit
pop charger or drop in
maybe some lowering springs
i was thinking HFC's but not sure if i want the CEL comming on and i dont want a raspy or high piched ricy sound..
xo2 was on my mind cause its cheap but im really liking the bassani and invidia gemini soo i might just have to save up for that

so would you guys rather want multiple mods at one time or one nice exhaust instead and get the smaller mods later...

^The details of your car would help. It doesn't really matter what you do first. Don't bother with pulleys. HFC's shouldn't throw any codes as long as they're still good, my Kinetix ones didn't have any problems.

^Thats fine, I too have an A/T but I do race mine . As far as bolt-ons the plenum spacer + HFC's will give you the best gains within your budget. I don't think any HFC's are raspy.

So ART pipes are my best bet?
5AT, ztube, k&n, 5/16 spacer, hks dual replica

just grabbed a grounding kit from sxexcx too think that'll make much of a difference?

Performance wise with a straight pipe, yes. Check out the Exhaust Compilation thread for the coupes because I don't know if the ART pipes are raspy, most test pipes are. Don't bother with headers either.

What I would reccomment is to look in the market place for these things to save you quite a bit of cash. Also mix and match brands man.

Or take the money and invest in FI. More power for the buck.
3500 for about 40HP????

I would rather spend that on a Supercharger that will easily get u close to 400HP... Wouldnt it?

I hate to be this guy, but I'm going to do it anyway.

I have a DG '04 G35 C 5AT, currently completely stock and about $3500 to spend on mods. The car has roughly 95k miles but has been treated like a baby its entire life. Since the miles are up there I don't really want to get too extreme with it. Mostly appearance with a few bolt ons here and there.

I already purchased the M2 exhaust since I don't have a whole lot to spend in the long haul.

Thanks in advance,

AJ

Edit: I'm still browsing this thread before anyone says that someone asked basically the exact same thing 4 pages back.

With 3500 you can pretty much finish every bolt-on mod and have a bunch to spare.

Get a 5/16 plenum spacer, z-tube, k&n drop in filter, grounding kit, art pipes, you have the exhaust, so put the rest into rims/body kit/drop or whatever floats your boat.
