I am an American livng in Sydney Aus and I drive a 2005 Japanese version G35 and I have just order CAI, MD ART Test Pipes and ISO Plenum Spacer and I wanted to know if any has added TomeiPon Cams.

If so what kind of HP gains were you able to get from adding your Pon Cams.

IMO

This info has really be very helpful....I am a *** with the G35...I use to drive a 33-GTR....here....So thanks..

im a new owner of a 2004 g35 coupe A/T. i have $600 ready to spend on something for the car. im not exactly sure what would be best to start with. i was thinking the terminator carbon fiber hood with the 6 vents, or the kinetix plenum(w/ a short ram intake)

any feed back or ideas would be really appreciated

For sure a plenum spacer, one of the best mods for our cars. I'd go with the MotorDyne one though. As for the short ram, intakes aren't really that beneficial as our stock airboxes are actually pretty good, so I would just switch out the stock inlet tube to a Z-tube.

I'm pretty sure you wanna get the hood just for looks as the engine doesnt really need the hood vents as it sits in your stock G. So I wouldn't pull the trigger on that IMO. I would take the extra money after buying the spacer and Z-tube, and get some springs to drop that *** a little..

would take it a step further and say save up a couple more hundred or hit the classifieds on here and get some coils. U will be happy with now much better a stock G looks with a nice drop, especially one you can adjust whenever you want to change things up. Springs are good but as so many of us have done, usually gets replaced for springs..

Do it right from the jump!

Depends what direction you want to go first, exterior or power. With 3k you could get every bolt on mod, (plenum spacer, ztube, catback exhaust, ART pipes, etc) and make the car a decent amount quicker, or you could get yourself some coils and drop the car, new rims/tires etc. Or start a body kit but that will exceed 3k. Really up to you

Unhappy Noob!

Okay. So I recently decided I wanted to do something to my car... My knowledge on cars is about an 8.. out of 100. I added in an Injen CAI, and that's it. I have a pair of OBX(?) Headers, which have been sitting in my garage for the past ever because I wanted to add them in along with an exhaust. Okay. Let me stop beating around the bush.

A friend wants to sell me his used "X02 Exhaust with top speed titanium tips" I understand x02 is the company. I'm assuming top speed is a company as well. That's all I know about this product. Anybody have any input on this?
Appreciate any responses. Thanks !

Save a LITTLE more than 3k eh? Yeah... Good luck with that. 10k gets you started on turbos... a little less for SC. 3K, however, would put you in very good contention to get every bolt on mod you can get including intake, spacer, z tube, HFC, exhaust, Osiris tune and the installation. Might be able to look at coilovers OR new wheels too. I did all of the above, plus coilovers and necessary supporting hardware for about 5k but I bought everything brand new. Marketplace is your friend and you could easily take 1/3rd off that cost.

Headers on these cars are touted as one of the worst HP / Dollar mods around. I was going that route and was quite easily talked out of it by guys who know about our cars. As for the exhaust... if the exhaust is catback then make sure you get cats- otherwise you're wasting it. I don't know the exhaust but a guy does a review on it HERE Looks decent and apparently sounds good (in his opinion... we all know what we like).

If you're going to be NA then you can expect bad rasp without an uber resonated exhaust. Even HFCs tend to be raspy. If you like the normal, deep, throaty sound of the stock VQ exhaust may I recommend a set of ceramic coated BERK HFCs.

I have the X02 exhaust. It sounds great and it gave me some noticeable gains. For the money i'd say its the best bang for the buck.
Theyre only like 400$ new though so I wouldnt pay more than ~250 for a used one.

Best bang for your buck would be hfc or tp or md 5/16 spacer. That's dyno proven too. X02 doesn't have great gains and is mostly installed for sound rather than performance gains. I've had all the bolt on possible so I speak from experience.

I meant in terms of buying a new catback exhaust its your best bet for the money, not regarding all bolt-on mods.
