Yes, I prefer one at a time also, but mine is b/c of "woman" constraints. She would kill me if I spent that much loot at once, especially if it were for my car. Even though she drives a 06 Qx56 and her car payment is a little more than double mine, I wish I could take that extra $400 a month and use it for my G. Damn women!

 

high flow cats or test pipes? Also, aftermarket y pipes or leave'em stock?Is the Osiris tune worth the money? My friend is just trying to maxed out the stock motor w/o using forced induction and nitrous. He's just trying to get the most for his money...w/o spending $5k+ on a f.i. kit just to get 350whp on pump gas.

 

If you want your car to pass smog than go with the cats. A tune will work best when you have some breathing mods to go with it. Good luck trying to get any real power out of a N/A setup. An aggressive set of cams w/springs combined with breather mods and an ECU reflash should give decent gains but will probably be around $3-4K, and nowhere near 350whp.

You bought the wrong car if you're looking for cheap power, should have gotten an Evo or STI.

So just got a 2003 6mt g35 about a month ago and now I have 1300 dollars in grad money.. Car has mirror tint, injen intake and exhaust, and still has the stock 17 inch chrome rims.. Where should I go with the 1300 dollars? also my brother in law said he would do any 1 thing to my car for me for free because his buddy owns a shop, what should I get him to do? Yep, spend the $5k on N/A mods and get close to 300 whp, but spend $6-$7k on a vortech, jwt twin turbo, stillen supercharger, oh yeah, You could get 350 whp no prob. Also lots more torque. Oh yeah and a wicked sound that makes others wonder if they should even try to take you.

Better yet tell him to check into the do it yourself sts rear mount turbo....Only like 5 k for entire kit and you can hook up yourself, then you do not need to waste money on exhaust either. You get about 350 whp and 400 ft lbs. Sound is crazy sick. http://www.ststurbo.com/

 

$1300 = decent wheels, but w/o tires. Maybe used wheels and tires. Otherwise, with that much you could do a nice injen exhaust to go with intake and have your buddy install it. You should enough left over for a motordyne spacer. Sry, thought I read, injen cai. I would have said wheels but in another thread some guy was saying it looks "rice" to put "cheap" wheels on a G. And by cheap he meant anything not $2500 w/o tires.

Get your head lights done up and stretch the money, hell you could do a body kit and have your buddy paint and install.
