In theory, the 1/2" spacer is supposed to help more in the higher rpm's, while the 5/16" helps down low. Since our engines get the the majority of their power above 4,500, most people try to get more power in the lower rpm range since its more practical for a daily driver. And the smaller spacer allows more options when it comes to strut bars.

IMO either one will work fine.

Ebay, marketplace, junk yard...
Later model G35's and G37's have the 3.7FD.

i've read that the 1/2" spacer is the same as the 5/16" on lower rps but more efficient in higher rpms

i've read it from some other members here on the site. The only reason i'm still gonna get the 5/16" is cuz i wanna keep the engine cover and add a strut bar. Your best bet is to talk to somebody from motordyne and ask them

EDIT i just found this maybe this can help

Which HFC's to buy

My Kinetix HFC's have recently gone bad and am looking for some new ones. I want to try something different this time. Whatever I get needs to be able to pass smog tests; I've read that Stillen's won't. Berk is a popular set and am leaning towards them right now. Any suggestions/comments?

An alternative would be to just run test pipes and swap in your OEM cats to pass emissions once a year...

I may just do this, I've been really tempted to get the ART pipes. But my car is already pretty loud, don't know if I want it any louder with test pipes.

Thanks for the help

^I'm assuming your talking about plenum spacers. Yes, they are easy to install.

^ not to be a dick, but I don't get it. You post on a thread with 70 pages of what mods people get, asking what mods you should get. Did you even bother to read anything? Lol

btw welcome
