AGREED.. the G MPG is horrible... i only get like 12 13 i dont understand how??i wish i was gettin 17 like you, i feel like im driving a lambo

to all of those with such low mpg, do you know how much $ and gallons when you fill her up? My fuel gauge always read empty after 230 miles or so, but I always push her up to 350 miles range and refill. For instant, yesterday I pushed her up to 347 miles or so and got her refilled with Mobile super @ $2.099/gal and pump stopped at $33.99 for 16.194 gallons. You should know that your G has 20 gal fuel tank. After refueled, I have to reset my trip mileage (everytime) and we have a lot of discussion on this issue before about the G, it's even got the TSB. Either got bad fuel sender unit right next to the throttle paddle area or the one in the fuel tank (pump).

lol the reason that officerdbag hates his 5at so much is bc he drove my 6MT. When he drove my car he was able to just then see what a G35 can do. You get to drive the car however you want to.. he had all these mods on his car but didnt get much power out of it. When your putting all that money into the engine you really should drive a 6MT.
Theres nothing wrong w a 5AT... just w a 6MT your driving the car instead of the car driving you. We raced countless times (on the track) and I always take him w my rev up bc my car goes to higher RPM before I have to shift and his AT is doing the shifting for him sooner and slower. Plus I drive better. Lol 6MT ftw

There's a reason the new GT-R has a 6 Speed Automated Dual Clutch Manual transmission. They wanted to make a car that would make it invincible on the track. the car shifts gears in .02 seconds which is faster then ANYBODY humanely can do so instead of focusing on cornering AND shifting, you concentrate so much more on hitting the Apex each and every time. That's why the 370Z's new system does the Rev match for you, so that you focus more on the thrill of the drive and what's going on in front of you. Formula 1 has used automated clutch manual transmissions for YEARS and Ferrari, Nissan, BMW and Porsche use it on some of their top tier cars. F430, 599GTB, R35 GT-R, M3 and 911 all use this system and if there is a standard manual transmission involved, you'll see everytime the A.C.M.T is faster.
In the end, Enjoy what you have because it's yours. If your not enjoying it, get something else. in the case of the EMO guy, there are plenty of options out there to make your G35 much faster. Whether they fit your budget is another matter. Hopefully you can find a solution to what has got you so down.

Then Again, the 5AT in the 1st Gen G35 is leagues behind the new 7AT in the G37. I love MT as much as the next track enthusiast but if the system can shift faster then you humanely can, then is the purpose to go fast or to enjoy the car??

Even if hes in tiptronic it still shifts for him once it gets to certain RPM while Im still going at it. Anyway.. I just like driving the 6MT bc I feel like I get to enjoy my car more.. Sucks during traffic hour tho.

yep, redline is 7500 and it gets that high. 7th Gear is only for cruising and getting some great MPG numbers. 1st-4th gear are quicker then both the old 5at and 6MT as Nissan wanted a VERY fast Auto that can still net you 25 mpg if done right.
