Try this...
I was browsing this site and saw that some other people had the same problem. Someone then suggested that you open the door with the stuck window, then hold the window up button while closing the door.
I have the same problem but only in the passenger side door. I tried what he suggested and it works for me every time. It also works for me to get the window to roll down because sometimes it gets stuck in the up position.
The problem isn't in the motor. It has to be a sensor somewhere that is malfunctioning. Hope this helps.

Yea its the motor. The trick might work for a while but the motor will go on you probably at the worst possible timing if you dont take care of it. I've already had the fun opportunity of replacing the motor. What you can try however is just cleaning the contacts and the inside of the motor. Sometimes the motor itself is still fine but there is just carbon build up that is causing it to malfunction. And yea there is a DIY somewhere on the forum thats a great write up to do it
