Gay, makes me mad, because now im thinking about just getting an 04. I wanted to know some peoples opinions that are Brembos really worth it or should i wait and get the 05 with out Brembos but other changes... also i have to wait for 05. im really confused now

Put it this way, the Brembos are the first thing people comment on and the first place the guy next to me at a stop light focuses on. Just my experience.

Brembos wearing out too quickly, grinding and squeeling are also the one of the largest complaints about the G.

Re: no brembos on 2005
The stock brakes are still pretty strong and stopping distance won't make "that" much of a difference. However, the bright YELLOW brembos on 18"+ rims makes it look pretty damn tight!! I had a old lady stop me the other day... commented on what a beautiful car it was, and then asked what those yellow things are inside my wheels... =D
I just told her a big *** brake in case I need to stop really fast... and it looks really cool. Besides that, and the brake dust, squeeling, etc... I wouldn't base my decision solely on the brakes. You can always add an aftermarket kit if you really wanted. Just my $0.02...

Re: no brembos on 2005
Forgot to mention that Brembo rotors cost like $500 each. That's quite the chunk of change that the warranty most likely won't cover when the time comes given that it is a normal wear item.

What is your source for that info? I heard it on another forum from a member who heard it from a dealer. Remember, dealers don't know jack!

European cars use brakes that generate a lot of dust, but do they switch? no. Infiniti cannot just put regular brakes on the new G, that would be a backwards step. If they do this, they should adjust the price increase accordingly.

Adding Brembo's on your own, that would just add to the cost of the car!

I need more info on the 2005 model, so I can decide whether it is worth waiting for or not! W/ bigger wheels, I'm not sure if the 15 more HP will make a diff. in acceleration. The smoother shifting for 05 would be good though.

Infiniti, give us more info about the 2005 coupe!!

Re: no brembos on 2005
Brembos will be on 2005's, whoever told you it won't be wanted you to buy a leftover 2004 right now. Standard brakes just as good as the Brembos? Not even close if you ever drive your car hard or take it to the track. :P Sure the replacement cost for the Brembos are expensive, but IMHO brake is one of the most important part in a sporty car, especially a chubby one like the G35. One of the reasons why I gave up on my G35 sedan was because I couldn't get it with Brembos. (not to mention 1st batch sedans had very touchy brakes)

Re: no brembos on 2005
roneski, I think if actually check, all the complaints about wear and dust are from the stock brakes.

The Brembo's don't squeak if you pay attention to how you brake.

Re: no brembos on 2005
but i do agree, if they remove brembos price shouldnt go up, becuase with other upgrades and brembos gone it should be equal cuz those are expensive as [censored]. but i really do hope they keep em, and the damn dealers are just bullshitting.

Re: no brembos on 2005
I was just basing that squeaking remark on the brembo (performance brakes just do that) threads that were floating around a month or 2 ago.

I have the stock brakes and don't have any problems. They are dusty, but no more than any other car I have ever had.
