Best year for the G35 coupe
#46
Considering all the G35 coupes eat tires, rattle, and have weak paint and window motors, the big plus for the 03 and 04s is that they do not consume oil! That is a big plus considering the expense involved. Yes the interiors are quite mundane, but it's a tradeoff. Good luck with whatever year you choose. It is still a great car and definitely a great value for the money spent.

not sure if that happens with G/Z/other cars, but for eg. when the 335xi came out...a frd's frd bought 1, the very 1st order from our dealership...and 2 month after...cyclinder number 5 and 6 are fked...
also seen customer's E92 M, very 1st group of order...2 weeks later, came in for new engine...(we don't know wtf did he do tho...)
afterall, what i meant to say is, nothing wrong, really, just I don't really like 1st yr model...it's kind of the feeling thing...
btw, 104K mile = uh...180K km?! how is everything holding?
somehow, here in west (BC) in canada...I don't really trust used high km nice rides like Gs or M3s...cuz if it's that high km...usually they either beat the fk out of it...or someting...
(cuz when i still had my 330, i went highway with the euro boys pretty much every weekend...
and THAT WAY doesn't even add the km up that quickly...)
again, nothing wrong really, but i guess those are just personal feeling kind of thing
but if the G is from states, higher km is understandable...since u guys are like highway everywhere...(seattle, i heard, daily working adds the km up...)
BTW, sorry for thread jackin...back to the topic!!!

More than likely everyone will be biased towards the model they bought. I like the look of the 04' and the seemingly sportier nature, but i wish it had the higher hp of the g37, but i hate the body style of the g37, but i love the interior (mainly the seats). i own an 04' and if i didnt like it i would have bought something else, thus leading the the obvious biased nature of anyone argument for or against a certain model year. get someone objective, a z owner, to judge the g35s and it could be a lot different.

His car is holding up fine because he bought it NEW, he has taken care of it since day one. I know Canadian drivers driving these cars with 200+ kms and they still drive the same.
Don't even get me started on BMWs and why they break.
