Aftermarket Stereo Kits - The Bose system stinks

OK, 2 months into the G and the Bose system has gotta go. I have a whole system out of my Maxima (rip) waiting to be installed. Here's a couple of questions for yall...

Does anyone make an aftermarket dash kit?
Are the mounting brackets for the Bose a standard fit and will a normal radio fit in the bracket?
I have 2 12" Fosgates for the back. Is there any way to fit them in the trunk and still be able to carry golf clubs and coolers back there?
I don't have a need to fold the seat down. Since I bought a G, I figured I would have to keep the Bronco for grocery shopping.

If you know where any pics of G stereo installs are please let me know.

In the G35, it is not that simple. For instance, the AC controller is integrated into the stereo itself. So you need a new AC controller .

I would start here, from the FAQ

If you need more info, do a search for double din in the audio/video forum. There is lots of info on this topic there.

You may want to look into simply replacing the Bose amps. According to my audio place and a few other peeps who have done some audio mods, it's the Bose amps that create the problems. The speakers are supposedly pretty good once you bypass the Bose amps with some good clean power.

Also, if you don't want to do that double din conversion, my shop wanted to put the Kenwood Double Din CD/DVD screen into the stock location. They said they cut out the opening for the radio and recreate the factory silver dash where needed. Supposedly it's seemless. I have seen other guys on here with the same setup so I would assume that a good audio shop near you can do the same thing. Off the bat, it would save you from buying the double din conversion piece.
