"Hiccup" @ 3500rpm?

I just noticed a small hiccup when accelerating in any gear around 3500rpm. Its like while I'm on the gas someone taps the brake very lightly or something, that is what I mean by hiccup.

I just had my front rotors replaced, brake pads swapped to Hawks, and the rear axle click fixed on both sides. Could this have anything to do with it? I'm thinking maybe I'll just unplug the battery tonight to reset the ECU?

If I do reset the ECU via unplugging the battery, do I need to do the throttle positioning and all that?

I was driving a bit just now and noticed also I have slower, jerky shifts at low speeds, especially when downshifting. I have a 5at btw.

I drove through a pretty big puddle the other day that I didn't see. It was very dark and raining. I think water may have gotten in somewhere, because it is definitely having some sort of issue between the hiccup / slipping feel at 3500rpm and now the rough and slow shifts.

Going to set up an appointment at Nissan tomorrow, do you think I should take it to Infiniti instead, or somewhere other than the two? I'm out of warranty.

I don't think so.. I had the shop check all the fluids today after the puddle incident because it happened just 2 days ago, and everything was fine. It's just feeling really sluggish. More noticeable with shifting and now the hiccup at 3500rpm. Would this happen if I got a little water in the transmission/ fluid?

^Possibly, but I'm not that knowledgeable with transmissions.

do you have a cai? maybe you sucked in some water... if you kept driving around, it should've all evaporated out

I have an intake but no cold air. Z tube and JWT. I figured I just sucked up a little water since there was some specks on the engine cover and a few on the heat shield around the intake, but it's been 3 days and it is feeling really sluggish and delayed during shifts, especially when downshifting below 25mph.

I've had two G35's ( both 5at ) and they both had "hiccups" every once in a while. I think it's just the nature of the beast.
