Tire size question

Ok well I am running right now on front 235/35/19 tires and on the back 245/40/19. I am using oem rays. I just had a big nail on the rear and I patched it up but it's time to get new back tires. So I found a good deal on these tires they are size 245/45/19. Would that be good on the back? I know it's a bit taller is it going to be that noticeable though? You guys think I would be running to tall on the back? Also I don't care if it messes up my speedometer by a few miles and ****.

Infiniti engineers gave the car those specific tire sizes for a reason, that's the way it functions at its best. Stick with the original size.

Why don't you bump it up to 255/40! That's what I'm running on my rear with the OEM 19's!

As long as the "rolling circumference" (revolutions per mile) is the same as stock, you can run several different sizes. My sedan stock size was 235 45 18 and I am now running 245 40 19's. The revolutions/mile is the same and my seedometer is correct, but now I run bigger wheels/tires.

You an also run even larger tires just as long as the ratio of the rolling circumferance of the (front and back) tires is the same. With a sedan, it's easy b/c all the tires are the same size. I don't know if the Coupe's tires have the same rolling circumferance front and back even though they are different sizes.

BTW: you want to maintain the same ratio so your VDC and ABS will not get confused.

Are you running the 225 40 19 on the front?

I have a feeling if you go with a 245/45 in the rear you're going to throw your vdc off . I'd stick with 245/40 if I were you.

I have 245/35 in the front and 255/40 in the rear. I've had this setup for about a year with no issues with the VDC/ABS!

I'm running with 245/35 up front and 275/35 in the rear on OEM rays. No issues here.

Ok thanx. I guess I will be looking for 245/40 or 255/40. Btw I always drive with vdc off if that makes a difference.
