High RPM issue..

Hey guys, I cleaned my throttle body probably 3-4 weeks ago and every time I start the car it idles at around 2000-2100 RPM's then goes down after I start driving. Im new to these cars so I just was not sure if this was normal or not and no I did not disconnect any wires or anything when I cleaned the TB. Thanks!

Cold IDLE is around 1500
Warm IDLE is 500-550

1000 is high for a warm Idle......

Are those numbers right when you start it up or after awhile? Im talking right when I start up, it doesnt go down till after I start driving then it goes down to around 500 or so

Did you ever start you car and let it sit for a few minutes to let the engine warm up, or do you just start and go?

On a cold start my RPM's will be around 1,500, after a minute or two it drops to 500-600.

Manufacturers say that that 20-30 seconds on hot days is enough
30-60 seconds on cold days (winter)

When cold never push it. You have to start smooth until the engine warms up properly. Then you can have fun!

I never shift above 3k RPM when cold. After 3.5-4k is my norm.

Sometimes it takes my car 1.5-2 minutes to get down to 500rpm in the mornings. Let it set for a few minutes and see where it idles.

I just remote start my car while I'm washing up for work, then it's good to go by the time I'm in the car .
