Hmm so after reading all of this, its the slip / power steering?

That would make sense. It has ONLY happened to me while going up my steep driveway though..

^^ I think thats the concensus. But they are not related to each other directly. (I dont think). I turned my VDC off when it was ice out and i still heard it so i think it has to do with the power steering working too hard for some reason.

I wish there was more info on this...Anyone??

its because you are 3 wheeling when you go up the driveway. my car does the same thing. being as low as you are, one wheel begins to pull off the ground and spin and it kicks in your abs/vdc.

When you go up the driveway stop your car and check the rear tires for clearance. I have the same problem and its because the shock and spring are compressed to the max in the rear and you are rubbing inside the fender even though you think you are not. It makes a really weird sound, kind of like an electric motor, and it only comes from one side of the car which is the compressed side.

Ive actually checked and i dont 3 wheel unless i go rediculously straight into it haha.

but Meister, that makes sense because earlier my rear tires were SUPER tucked inside the wheel well. Nothing was hitting but yeh. Its wierd because how does the rear wheel rubbing on the inside make electric motor sound coming from the front?

If it is coming from the front that is a totally different problem and I would suggest having someone stand outside of the car and listen to were it is coming from. My car will not make that noise during normal driving but i have rolled curbs at home and when i got up them I can hear my shocks and springs compress and then i will hear that weird sound but I get it from the back of the car not the front and I will loose power, when the rear compresses up my driveway im almost laying frame in the rear on one side for a second.
