I did hear a weird noise and had loss of traction with my Toyos in the past, never again for me.

I think it has to do with how you drive the car and a good wheel alignment. When I got my car, my front hankook v12 was new and rear bridgestone had 4/12. 20000 miles later, my oem bridgestone went down to 1/32 and my front hankook still has 8/32. I just got new 255/40/19 for my rears with a wheel alighnment. Granted, I rarely launch my car, I floor and rev my car to 7k a few times a week.
