Finally got one!!!

ok. so i finally bit the bullet and got my dream 2005 Coupe. 34K miles. 6mt.

so....here are some pics.

so i like a smooth clean look. i want a new front bumper cause mine has the front plate on it and the screw holes are obnoxious.

thinkin about halo/angel eyes headlight mods. but definitely the side marker blue LED mods...anyone got any links to that? and clear side markers on the front.

i want a new grill too.

factory wheels are ok for now, gonna need new rubber soon though, so might be wise to get wheels and tires at the same time.....but dunno if the wallet can swing it.

also thinking about smoking the tails...or getting the black ledmarkers tails.

ideas thoughts links opinions are all welcome. pics are nice too.

i'm so happy. been waiting on this for 9 years. captivating car.

Nice car!! I have an 05 6MT with around the same mileage... How ironic I lowered my car on the stock wheels before purchasing the aftermarket wheels and the car looked great! Btw i have some smoked tail lights for sale, PM me if interested! Again, beautiful car!!

Awesoooooooome!! WOOOOOO!! We're happy for ya, homie. Personally, I can still remember the great feeling driving my showroom floor model home that Saturday afternoon. I only lasted 3 years 'fore I couldn't resist getting one, your patience is quite virtuous. (What?)

And hey, as I just posted on another thread, you're doing better than I am. I've a 4.5 year old 2006 with just under 31,000 impeccably maintained miles. You......done good.

Mods? Well, like tatts, time & money tends to dictate for those of us living in the real world. That said, you got the nice crib in the background and our cars are straight bada$$ directly from the factory in Japan. Translation: Nothing whatsoever or a simple wheel upgrade (I like the 20s fit) + mild drop would satisfy most. I think.

All we ask is that you share some pics of the upgrads. That's a House Rule.

Last, but not least, no major links offer (others have many), just one on how to paint your grille - if ya want 'til you get a new one :, or if you change your mind.

Enjoy the wheels!!

Looks super clean! And high five for getting Diamond Graphite (right? that is DG right?).

IMO, the best grill is a painted OEM one. (Pic of a black grill on DG)

As for the sidemarker/ blue led corners, I would also make my clearance strip blue. (Pic - I haven't made my sides blue yet, but they'll look good when it is)

As for smoking your tails, I wouldn't do it. If you really wanna do something to them, get some bat overlays (link)

GL!

Welcome to DRIVER HAWK....!

Very nice low mileage coupe....Congratulations! Stop, take a breath before you start spending your hard earned $$ on mods do a lot of research to know what you want your coupe to look like. Using our SEARCH will answer most of your questions if you're asking them according to our terminology. First thing you need to do is remove all those letters from your trunk lid, we call it "Debadging" Search that word and you'll know how and what to use....understand? Looking for parts, check our MARKETPLACE. Like the black grille, check our MARKETPLACE under vendor exterior and look for Ionic. They make a black embless grill that would look right at home on your coupe and Jose is a great guy. Good Luck and enjoy your new ride....

i'm thinkin i'm gonna black the bottom 2 bars and the upper bar. that might happen this weekend. i gotta get SOMETHING on there to set it off from PURE FACTORY.

thanks so much for the warm welcome. i'm working thru the "what mods should i do" thread....82 pages...i think we need a condensed new comers guide.

and i've loved the DG from the get go.

question, are the style of wheels i have from the factory PAINTED? cause some stuff is PEELING off from where the curb bite is...is that normal? not that it's a HUGE problem, but if i get new wheels and try and sell these i don't wanna dick someone over.

again, thanks for the welcome and i'm gonna be doin some serious homework this weekend.
