bumpy idle, needle not moving.

My idle has been bumpy(I believe it started after installing ztube/pop charger. It's not registering on my tach though. What could this possibly be? It's very suddle and the car doesn't feel like it's going to cut off. It's just like a small bump(every few seconds) and I can feel it and hear it if I listen for it. This only happens while in park and when stopped with my foot on the brake. Any other ideas? Thanks

check your throttle and mass air flow sensor connectors (while the car is turned off!). also do these procedures, described here:

http://www.technosquareinc.com/350reset.htm

- Accelerator Pedal Release Position Learning
- Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning
- Idle Air Volume Learning (Throttle Position Learning)

If that doesn't work, do ECU Reset also.

+1 I would def check the Mass Air Flow Sensor and also reset the ecu if you never did after installing your intake.

I checked the connectors and they all seem to be on tight. I have done the ecu reset about 2 weeks ago. I'll try the others you mentioned today. Also, should I clean the MAF?

Ok so I did all of the above and it is still bumpy. Any other ideas as to what could cause this? Could it just be my exhaust or something?

Does anyone have this happening to them? Maybe it's just normal and I'm paranoid?

Vacuum leak? Go over your install. You may find something disconnected

Not sure about the bumpy idle, but the needle not moving happens to a lot of men as they get older. There are medications that can help, consult your doctor.

Well I just cleaned the MAF sensor and this problem is still happening. If I get close to the engine bay, I don't hear any bumpiness. If I get close to my exhaust tips, I hear it making a small popping noise every few seconds. I'm thinking its something to do with my exhaust now. My car is very low and I scrape a lot. Maybe I damaged something or the previous owner may have?

When I turn my ac on, the bumpiness goes away. Any thoughts?
