I would hope your Berk and APS test pipes made good power without issues - it's kinda hard to mess up replacing a catalytic convertor with a f*cking pipe.

Lol you guys are hilarious. Given the fact that the Tyler dude is whack. In answer to your question dofu yes indeed it is cheaper and not a hassle at all to buy hardware to make non foulers. Id say go that route if you want a certain type of HFCs without the non foulers.

Dude are you serious?^^^^^ Please don't post garbage just to post.

A resonator is a chamber that muffles the sound, and a HFC has cat material (cells) that helps muffle sound and remove emissions from the exhaust. A non-resonated test pipe is just a straight through pipe.

A resonator is a chamber that muffles the sound, and a HFC has cat material (cells) that helps muffle sound and remove emissions from the exhaust. A non-resonated test pipe is just a straight through pipe.
A resonator is a chamber that filters out specific sound frequencies. The resonators in the exhaust and muffler filter out frequencies to quiet the exhaust by filtering out the louder and more annoying frequencies and are sometimes used to change the tone. A resonator in a test pipe is supposed to eliminate rasp, although it does quiet the sound a bit. So a resonated test pipe is just a test pipe without as much rasp.

An HFC is just a high flow catalytic convertor - a catalytic convertor that is much less restrictive than the ones your car came with.

Would a resonated test pipe pass a visual inspection?, cause it looks real similar to a HFC.

That depends on where you are. In CA, neither will pass visual since aftermarket cats are illegal as well.
