That pic of your side skirts reminded me of the nightmare I had gone through a few years ago! But I had recently gone to Auto Explosion to change my body setup and they did a superb job. For them to take shortcuts makes no sense to me. Unless they hired the guy that did the same stuff to my car...

They are always great with communication and always informed me if something didn't fit right and asked me how I wanted them to handle it and offered suggestions. Poly parts, especially side skirts are very hard to work with and even harder to get the proper OEM style clips to adhere to the material, in my experience.

I don't think lawyering up will be needed (besides, you'd have to be suing for over 7500 for it to be bigger than small claims) especially if they are going to redo all of the work to your liking.

You mentioned being in a hurry. I hope you weren't trying to rush them, because that could also be part of why that happened!

Looks great from the first few pics. Paint being a shade of is no biggie...paint shop guy pointed out to me one time how EVERY g has a variance in the bumper to body paint...whether it be because of factory painting technique and/or the difference between urethane and steel.

The screws on the skirts I don't think is acceptable. Granted, I can understand how difficult it is to get a kit to fit right, and you'll have waves/variances in urethane...but you'd think a shop known for quality custom work would be able to do something a little cleaner....if it it meant stainless steel rivets evenly spaced or something like that. I wouldn't be happy with what you got.

And no offense, because the car looks great, but why in the world did that take a month????

Well they had other cars ahead of me. I came in like 3 weeks later and nothing had been done. So a lot of the delay was from the cars ahead of me. The custom work on the bumpers they said took like a week so yeah.

And when i said i was rushing i just meant that day. In no way would i rush them for the work. The car had already been done a couple days before i picked it up.

Im sorry to see such a so-so job on
1. an Infiniti and 2. A car that someone OBVIOUSLY will look through it. 3. a shop that comes HIGHLY recommended. I had the same issue with one of my cars, except it was the paint did not match very well. For a 3k job I am sorry man! For body work It looks good, just how they mounted it is dump. Should not be those screws. Looks so off, plus the wave the side skirt has would get to me.

Looks like it needs to be returned. Some people SWEAR to this shop on my350z. Body shops are about as consistent as a Halloween goodiebag.

Just dropped off the car, they are redoing the fender gaps as well as the side skirts and working on the hood gap.

Maybe he was referring to the screws on the skirt?
