Got my Car back from Auto Explosion. Mixed reviews
I would expect them to buy the new skirts if they're the ones who messed up the originals. That doesn't make sense, unless they gave you the option to "fix" the originals for free.
If those were fiber side skirts I could understand if it wasnt a perfect fitment... that wasnt even close. For a quality shop to defile your poly skirts like that and then give you the car like that tells me a manager or owner didn't check the work. Still inexcusable. I have that front bumper in fiber and fitted it myself and had no issues.
You should have never paid for new skirts they should have owned up and paid for them and went the extra mile to make sure you are happy to uphold their rep.
They need to slow their workload down b/c clearly they cannot handle it!

meh, i dont mind that much paying for new skirts, the poly ones were like the first ones that were ever made back like 4-5 years ago. I figured there might have been problems. I had actually thought they would be giving me a call and letting me know they didnt fit well but when i got no call and when asked about the fitment, they said it was fine. Meh. they are nice guys and im not trying to take advantage of anything. they have been made aware of this thread and are doing everything to fix it so for that i am grateful.

Why should YOU pay for skirts that THEY messed up? You are either an extremely forgiving person or have very low expectations. Or you just have more money than you know what to spend it on. lol
will definitely keep this thread updated and will update the original post to reflect the fixes later on. they said I would probably get it back by saturday if Baus delivers the skirts today
That's a legitimate argument...but you'd think a professional body shop charging decent money would have atleast some other technique or trick up their sleeve rather than randomly drilling a bunch of, what appears to be, wood screws into it. That's why joe bob the weekend warrior does in his garage. And I still can't get over that it took them a month. They should have a job like that down to a science.....it's not that custom. I did custom car audio professionaly for awhile and I can't recall ever having a car for more than 2 weeks or so....and that included a Titan that we did a $20k system in. Good luck with whatever becomes of it though.
