Lol getting upset would only hinder the process of getting it rectified. They are nice people too. I dont think they set out to rip rip me off and that it was an honest mistake. I am willing to atleast give them the opportunity to fix it.

The screws look like self tapping metal screws. Regardless I'm not certain how a reputable installer could do that with a skirt unless he had a serious brain fart.

The shop cannot say that you have been unreasonable by any means since you have been so extremely patient. I'm happy to see it is being worked out for you. I'm sure you're anxious to find out how it's going to turn out. Good luck.

Unfortunately, I work very hard for my money and everything you've gone through would' ve pissed me off from the start. Spending 3K on a reputable shop and waiting 3 weeks? You'd think things would've turned out better. I guess each person is different when it comes to certain things and you sir have taken the high road. Time is important especially all the going back and forth, downtime and now gas. I guess every now and then incidents like this happen and I'm glad they're trying to rectify the situation. Like the others said I think you shouldn't have shelled out for another set of sides. Hopefully, this time your ride comes out looking the way you wanted it. They're a reputable shop and I'm sure they'll try not to disappoint you this time.

Calm down peeps... OP is open to having this corrected.... Let them correct it first before we torch this very reputable shop! They have done countless cars without any issues including my personal car. They have also done SEMA cars on top of that. Lets wait to see the end result!

U can't make lemonade with orange juice.. The op brought crappy parts and the front and sides were poly. U cannot fix poly. What kind of screws are u suppose to use.?? Those are not wood screws. They are coated. They could be self-tappers.. I, myself, have a set of sides, not painted or installed from here, that the body shop used the same screws. My Impul poly sides have indentations where u are suppose to screw into.. Pretty close to the oem points.. The sides the op brought in don't have locations to screw into..

I don't think the issue is all Auto Explosions fault. Crappy parts play a big part in this particular install..

If the screws would have been spaced out properly, let's say every 4-6inches, then this thread shouldn't have even been made.. It's not the screw type..

Just sayin..

Plus. It's not like They're opposed to fixing it. I'm sure the op didn't even try to speak to the owners before making this thread..

Yeah I wasn't bashing at all. Just a review of what I got back. But I wouldn't have minded at all if they had told me the skirts fit shity and that I should have just bought another set. They are redoing the figment of the fenders as well. Should be coming back soon. Will update

Also to clarify the Front is the ait front which is fg

Wtf do you mean you can't do anything with poly? Polyurethane is the best material you can use for bumpers and sideskirts Heat gun and urethane repair are all you need to make poly look perfect. Whytf would you use self tap screws to mount the sides? I hope this "reputable" place plug welds the holes they put in the rocker instead of just filler. Also, whytf would the op need to buy new skirts? If this "reputable" shop can't fix them, they shoul pay for new skirts since they ruined the first set.

based off what they said is that poly cannot be repaired properly. he said they could do it but later on it would become wavy and the paint would uneven if it was heated and cooled with the expansion and contraction.

I know Marcus (Candlestick) had his body work done by AutoExplosion and it came out very well. IMO, the fenders and rear bumper dont flow at all. Shame on them for the skirt install. They should pay for new skirts, paint, and install. Hood can be adjusted. Fenders fitment could be adjusted, but again, they are non OEM, so they are bound to fit differently.

They are full of crap. Two part poly repair is just like using filler repair. It is more difficult to work with, so maybe that's their problem. If they are saying that heating a poly part will make it wavy later, they are full of crap.

I'm curious, did you ask them what made them think using self tapping screws mis-spaced and crooked would be ok with you. By the looks of the car with the door closed, the side skirt looks like it fits perfectly All they needed was a bead of urethane for proper installation, or worst case scenario, 3m double sided tape to make it presentable.

I definitely did not tell them to install that way, i didnt know they would be using the screws and making them completely visible when the door is opened.

Yeah I think the rear doesnt flow well because that back lip is too fat, if it was thinned out a little and i think the thickness was taken down a bit it would flow better. I got my influence from the nismo 370 rear.

No, I'm not saying you did anything wrong. I was curious as to what the shop, from the owner/manager down to the tech who did the work, thought was an acceptable way to install side skirts.
