Best Short Shifter?
Hey guys,
So I'm getting my G35 in two weeks (couldn't be more excited) and one of my first minor mods will be a short-shifter. I've had one on my A4 for years and I still love it.
Just like with my A4, I've found ones that are around $50, and then there are some that are much more. Anyone have any recommendations/opinions on which are best?
I'd appreciate any input. Thanks.
Dan

Searching is always good, but since you're new here... https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-cou...t-shifter.html
Personally I'd recommend the Rogue short shifter.
With ANY mod you do to your car, do NOT base your decision solely on price. There's a lot of cheap crap out there you can throw on a G, and you (9 times out of 10) will get exactly what you pay for - cheap crap. There's a lot that can be done to these cars but it doesn't typically come cheap.

I did not want to mess with short shifter right away and wanted to tackle the issue with longer throws and height. Also the other issue was the stock shift **** has no weight to it so you have to literally push the shifter into each gear with slight force. Having a weighted shift **** that is 1 lb will make the shifter fall into gear like butter. The adjustability factor of the height along with the smaller shape of the TWM m1 abrams shift **** makes it a good choice. Also being able to snag it on ebay for $40 made a difference too . What I did right away is remove the ATIS insert and threaded the **** all the way down the till it bottoms out. It sits very low and has 460grams behind it to shorten throws and add weight to make it fall into gear. I tried the Nismo carbon fiber shift **** that I snagged for $10 and that shizz was junk.
