I use to own a 2003 C32 Mercedes AMG and the Jaguar guys i talked to thought mercedes were reliable in comparison to Jags.

If your use to repair costs of a jaguar, the infiniti will seem like a bargain.

My g35 has 138k, its not quite as fast as my AMG but it doesn't break. The most i spent was $200 to replace the spark plugs and $150 to fix the radio, $30 to fix the door lock.

The drive train is pretty reliable except for oil burning issues on the manuals. If your buying a auto then you don't have any worries. I would try to buy a 05+ if possible. The interior of the 05+ is much nicer.

The engine itself can last up to 250k if properly maintained. I would try to stay at 70-80k or less but even 100k the car should be fine. I bought my g35 at 117k as a beater and its been pretty reliable, a lot more reliable then any european car.

Infiniti is probably the best compromise between performance and luxury, basically its a Japanese BMW and Lexus is a Japanese mercedes.

yup, the G35 makes for a nice beater. I wouldn't worry about high mileage if you think that it was maintained

If anything try getting a G thats 05 and up but if you get a 05 and transmission does not matter to you then go with the automatic due to the problems of oil consumption later on. Maintenance on the G is definitely affordable since you had a Jag plus it will more more reliable in the long run especially when it comes to high mileage. As long as you maintain the car and take care of it mileage should not really be in issue especially in the 100Ks.

I got my 05' Coupe 5AT for 13k at 45k miles I'm pretty sure if miles don't matter to you, you can find an older model for less.
