Yes I would and have done so. I had an 06 Sedan 6MT on a lease. gave it up the end of the lease and 3 years later I'm in an 05 Sedan 6MT....just missed driving the G. Had to do it again..

I'm guessing it's a hit or miss whether or not you get one that has a lot of issues? I don't plan on extensively modding it, just sound system, wheels, suspension and body kit (maybe), and the little NA mods. I previously had a supercharged 97 v6 camry http://www.cardomain.com/ride/434662/1997-toyota-camry/
The G's are good cars they just have a lot of little issues that can be frustrating. My G has had every little problem but oil consumption is fine. Just do your research and make sure You get a good one. I think mine was ragged out before i got it.

I can't think of anything else I would want to spend 15-16k on right now. Maybe put money down on a fr-s/brz but it's way smaller than the G? I like the current gen maximas, but I want a stick shift car this time around

Yeah. I may not NEED to by the time I'm done with my 03. It's basically turning into a full rebuild/upgrade, but yeah. I love the G. Will have one as long as I can. Hopefully I can snag a stock 07 in a few years just to swap parts to.

Yea mine definitely could have been in better condition. The engine looked fine from up top, the interior near perfect and the exterior near perfect. However I didn't look at the underbody enough, there was a lot of rust down there. No big deal, just a minor inconvenience for putting new parts on but it's definitely something to look at when buying a used car.

Definitely the G. Only other thing I would look at is a TL-S but they're overpriced and FWD. The BR-Z/FR-S has completely underwhelming power, the tq is nearly half the G at 150 or so. Not even a comparison. It handles better, but slap some $300 sways on the G and it levels out the playing field a good bit. For a luxury sport, there really isn't any competition for the price range.

I'd buy one again. All the little issues make it "special".

I would buy again and stick with the 03-04s to stay away from the rev-up.

I am actually going to convince my g/f to pick up a sedan in a couple of weeks!

Ridiculous, I had to get 2 new hinges and pay a body shop to repair my fender and hood. Keep them lubed people!

Would def buy again, I love the car, love the power for daily driving, and love the 5AT for what its worth. If there is one complaint is the coupe could come w/ no rear seats like the Z and lose some weight, but otherwise a great car.

I have a funny story. When the G-coupe was first revealed in 2002, i was a couple years out of college and wanted the car but it was just too expensive. Decided I NEEDED the car and explored my options. I could wait several years and buy used, just buy it and hope i don't go bankrupt, or get a new job. Between student loans and living costs, there was nothing i could do to afford the car with the job field i was in

So, i decided i needed to get drastic...and go to b-school Got into a top program that year, graduated in a couple years with a new job that payed more than double what i had earned and bought the G the first week out of school I've had the car since 04 and i have a special attachment to the car...kinda drove me to be more successful

The car has had window motors replaced, compression rod, and a stereo unit replaced but other than that...PERFECT. I still love her

i barely got mine about 3 1/2 months ago got it for 10k 30k mile 04 coupe 5AT has a major oil consumption issue and just recently started knocking, it needs the driver side door actuator, has a couple of rattles, im going to spend 1300 on a engine from a junkyard with 1 month warranty and 550 to install it plus all the lubricants so im probably going to spend about 2000 to do everything, so over all im getting the car for 12k you could say, and to answer the question yes i would get it all over again i would just do a bit more research on the car instead of just jumping on it, i absolutely love this car.

Yes, I love my car. got a new 05 6mt sedan for $30k, now 120k miles and engine is running strong. Mild oil consumption but nothing too bad, it's just not a new car anymore and i replace/change my own oil. Only real issue is one wheel bearing and all my bushings and shocks are worn, but thats all to be expected so im not complaining.

There is nothing back then that fit my needs. Sedan, manual, rwd, rear lsd. It was between the g and is200. No contest. I absolutely love my car and its going to be hard to replace. I did minimal modding, just plenum spacer , z tube and chasis braces and have driven the heck out of my car. Many a road course day and still going strong.

Now i feel there are more options and the g has slowly progressed through the years away from the sports and more towards luxury. And now i can drop the sedan part and go for a coupe. So i definitely am not looking at the new g or q50/60 and for a replacement.
