Would you consider the V35 Coupe a good beginner car?
Hey, long story short I am looking to buy my first car.
My expectation is that most of you are going to say it's not a good first-time car.
I'm just wondering how reliable these cars are? I cannot seem to find one without at least 80,000 miles on it and that worries me.

I (not my parents) Financed myself a 2004 6 speed G35 Coupe and I absolutely love it! I got it back in september 2012 when I was 18 years old.The only thing that was a bit hard to get used to was the clutch(never drove a manual car before, only dirtbikes/quads).If you have the money to maintain this car then I say go for it.I think you will do fine if you're a mature driver like I am,I actually think its kinda slow now but that's just me.The reason im not telling you to start off with a shi**y car is because I think you will regret it later on...but again, thats just me.The car is pretty reliable i'd say(bought mine with 100K miles and only 1 previous owner) decent on gas,and really smooth.I've put in 20K miles so far and very very minor problems that i've had and were easy to fix.Other cars that were in my price range and i liked was the g35 sedan or acura TSX / TL(Not a big fan of civics/rsx since everyone and their grandma has one now a days)So my conclusion is if you got a decent-good paying job or your parents are giving you wads of cash every now and then go for it.Good luck and think long & hard before you make the big decision

Welcome to DRIVER Giroux, we have seen '04s with 25K miles on their clock bought recently so they're out there. You just need to do a major search, read every auto sale publication available and most importantly check our MARKETPLACE under Private Classified for cars for sale. Our G35s are easily good for 200K miles plus if they've been taken care of. Whatever you look at make sure you get a FAX report, that will give you a history of the cars past....accidents etc. Next thing is maintenance history, very important! You don't want a G35 that's been neglected!
"Good Luck" with the search....Gary
