same problem in my car. 2007 G35 coupe. shitty noise comes from the backseat / trunk when i go through the bumps or bad road.
I read the whole thread but could'nt get an answer..

You sure it's not just bad rear shocks?

Open the door, push up against the roofline of the car to rock the chassis and see if you can reproduce the sound.

If so then it will be easy to find the culprit.

There are sunroof bolts that often cause a clunk in coupes. Do you have a sunroof? If so try searching for that.
