Question What goes in the center console?

Hey all,

I just recently purchased a used 2003 G35 Coupe 6MT with the Brembo brake package. As I am new to this vehicle, I have been able to notice something missing from my center console (between the shift **** and arm rest). Within that little sliding compartment, at the very bottom of it are small spring loaded clips. What goes into those clips? (Random question, I know). I would like to know because I may want it. I know this question can only be answered by those with the coupes with a MT... Your assistance will be greatly appreciated

Also if anyone can upload a pic of whatever goes in that console, that would be much appreciated. I took the car to an Infiniti dealer and no one could seem to answer my question.

No, the cupholders are under the arm rest which is toward the rear end of the center console on an MT coupe.

I believe the springs are or should be attached to an arm that pops out to divide the space, for you guessed it, cups... 2 door car 8 freaking cupholders... Thats what is in the middle of that space in mine. It is attached to the driver side of the compartment. I have an 03 MT Coupe.

are you referring to the rectangular space with the cover that slides back into the center console? I would also like to know what goes in there. I have an 04' and theres nothing there. There are a couple plastic tabs towards the bottom that appear to hold something. cupholder? not sure. theres 2 cupholders under the arm rest so I doubt thats it but, I cant seem to figure it out.

I might have the exact use for the arm wrong, but that is what is attached to that area. It is just a spring loaded arm that can pop out to divide the space and it can be manually pressed back down into the resting position against the wall. Cheers!
