Does the sun blast your car with high velocity rocks? No. No it does not. Does winter? Yes. I have holes in my 3M from some of the **** on the road here.

Yup. Here's more rock damage, you can see how it's outlined the 3M.

TLDR, Did this car get painted yet? If not, then why complain of the OEM paint if it's getting painted?

I live in SFL near the ocean. I have the sun, salt and the normal road debris. It happens

I take Stoney trail (meaningless to those who haven't been to Calgary), but I have the road completely to myself most days, there isn't even gravel. Previous owner liked to take the main road (Deerfoot trail) and must have loved to follow trucks though.

To add, I complain because I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO REPAINT THE CAR. I drove a 14 year old Audi before this, with 240,000km on it, and it had about 2 paint chips. Before that I had a 10 year old BMW, same story.

I live in Calgary and can vouch for the way they gravel the roads in winter.

It's just magical isn't it? I've had pebbles the size of golf ***** hit my cars before. Good thing they are switching to beet juice de-icing.

I parked beside a 2004 AX6 G35 coupe today and his chipping was about 10x worse then mine. Poor guy.

I'd recommend Sikkens paint. Got my front end repainted over a year ago and no chips. Much stronger than OEM paint.

I was going to go with Sikkens, (actually good friends with a Akzo-Noble rep) but PPG bought them out, and I can't get access to it. So instead I can get DuPont Standox for good prices.

Oh ok. I'd just make sure they use plenty of clear.

Doing a double clear coat. Don't want it too thick, makes it hard to repair.

Also with your paint peeling off on the front bumper is that a result from rock chips?
