I have my sunroof open whenever possible. Even in the winter, it's at least popped up for ventilation. But as soon as it hits 50/60 degrees, if it's sunny out i'll open it.
Heh... I have my windows in the car open all the time, regardless of how cold it is out. They are always wide open in the warm weather and about half to 1/3 open in the freezing cold winter weather except when driving down the highway. Needless to say, same thing with the sunroof. Of course, I also ride a naked/unfaired sport-motorcycle almost all year long in Massachusetts provided that there isn't snow on the ground, so maybe that has something to do with an obvious desire to be in open elements as much as possible.

When I was in High School (1969-72 yes, only three years!) I had a 1964 MGB, the top was hardly ever up. A friend had an Austin Healy S100, same thing. I can still picture him and his girl friend bundled up in the cold.

when I first joined the G nation the talk was that sunroofless Gs have stiffer body and better for drifting and such.

Depends on what is wrong with it.

Motor junk? the switch has failed? A broken/shorted wire? Until we know that, "how much" is unknown
