Hard to shift into Park and Reverse

The only thing the gate does is move that little red dot around that tells you what shift psoition you are in.

You can prob figure out a way to remove it and just live without the red indicator. You do have the position indicator in the cluster to fall back on.

I beleive all you need to do is remove those 4 phillips head screws and you can prob get it out from there. I'd have to go pull up my trim to see though. It's been some time since i've done it.

Mustang I just want to thank you with the help you gave. I was able to unscrew the screws take it apart remove the gate and put back together without a problem feels a lot better my gate looks like it when through hell is that normal wear and Tear?

It's not a failute I've heard happening a lot. I guess all it would take it to jam up and someone pull the shifter hard from P to D to break it.

Anyway, glad you can shift again now.
