Alrighty guys, today I began taking off parts of the body that i dont need. Hood, bumper, rear bumper, side skirts headlights and taillights. Fenders will come off as well but i will need them on for when i scan the car as a reference. I need to take off the rear spoiler too but its glued on there pretty well, anybody know a technique to get it off? tomorrow, i will start 3D scanning the car into a 3D model, that process could take a day or a few. The parts that i dont need are up for grabs if anybody needs them.

Take off the trunk lining u can see all the screws/bolts and clips that need to be removed, you will also need to heat up around the spoiler with a heat gun to soften the 3M tape that's holding it on as well.

What if you were to do R34 front with R35 rear?

Wouldn't that be something.

I'm impressed that you are already doing instead of still talking about it. I think this project will turn out pretty cool.

In for updates.

Reminds me of that guy who chopped up a G35 into some kind of supercar looking thing.

Day 3. I prepped the car for scanning by masking the edges of each panel for definition, as well as adding lots of dots for reference points. I took 14 separate scans all together and had to stitch them together at the end using a program. Overall the scan is good, i will have to compare it to dimensions from the actual car to see where the deformities are and make adjustments. After that i can start 3D modeling the new body to fit the car.

I have a custom spoiler in mind for my G35. Would you be able to advice me on how to proceed with creating something like that?
