burn out boy! there is more to a car then just horsepower...especially when you're determining price.

pontiac != infiniti

A side point, right after you drive off the lot, see who could get a higher resale value.

If you want brute muscle then sure, get the Pontiac
If you want sophistication and class then Pontiac is out of the question

The G looks inordinately better than the GTO

agreed. in addition, the build quality and reliability of nissan/infiniti is much better than pontiac...not to mention the creature comforts offered by infiniti. if all you're looking for is HP and/or speed, then buy a Lancer EVO, a WRX-STI, GTO, or a Camaro or Mustang.

Definitely. If you're driving in a straight line, the GTO is great. You didn't necessarily buy the G because of its HP did you? It has better looks, interior and quality more than anything. You can't be comparing Pontiacs with Infiniti's. You'll thank yourself for the G after his car will break down in the next few years.

The next thing will be how many times his car goes to the shop for this or that. For some reason Domestic model cars/trucks just aren't as reliable as these imports. Then like stated above...resale,appearance, and class. If you want horsepower per buck then buy an SRT-4 Neon. Damn things are fast and under $30,000. What would you rather look at in your parents drive way.

not only that but i've heard that the handling sux in the GTO because they used the chassis of an australian car, so it might be fast in a straight line, but it'll get destroyed by an EVO, STi, or may even a G in the twisties. Needless to say the difference in interior quality and plain looks.

Although I should add I can see where you're coming from. Back when I was in high school it was all about who can go faster. (I'm not saying all think that way) but maybe thats your rationale now. Maybe in a few years you'll realize speed and 0-60 times arent everything.

P.S. After your reading your post it was killing me you kept saying "are" instead of "our". You gotta fix that man.

I asked him how much he paid, he said around 35 large. Same price for a pretty much fully loaded coupe. But honestly for the amount of money we pay for are coupe's there atleast should have alot more HP. Yes are cars have nice interiors, and systems, but his GTO interior wasn't that bad. But honeslty i think us infiniti and nissan lovers deserve a little more HP in are car

I have to hand it to you, you are truly determined to "burn out" in a car. Man, that what I call persistence!
