I installed R HFC by fast intentions on friday, and drove the car to work today. On my way home I noticed car was idling REALLY low, thought it would shut off but maintained at 200, no CEL. I'm gonna check all plugs+vacuum lines under the hood, cause maybe I just noticed it, but it may have started before. But would anything HFC related result in a low idle, the 02 sensor should throw a CEL right? Anything else it might be?
I'm also thinking of disconnecting the battery and letting the car reset itself. But besides double checking all plugs/sensors under the hood and vacuum lines, what else do you guys think this could be? Thanks
Do the full list of resets, IIRC Motordyne has a full list somewhere on their site. Doing the battery method works as well, but it's always good to know the pedal methods.
I have HFC, catback, intake, spacer, and my idle is perfectly normal, so you definitely have something going on. If the resets don't work, definitely make sure you check lines.
disconnecting the battery worked, just wierd because i thought you only have to reset after doing anything related to air or fuel delivery, not exhaust. Thanks for the input guys

Exhaust is kiiiiind of air delivery. An engine is just a giant air pump; altering intake or exhaust will alter the overall flow. Best to just play it safe and reset after any modifications.
Mines does is as well as we speak I’ve done everything peddle method change maf sensor an clean TB did you just disconnect the negative side of the battery ?

yes, I just disconnected the negative for a little bit, maybe 30 minutes, but I think maybe 10 minutes should be fine. when I reconnected it, it was fine again. good luck man, let me know how it goes.
Most modifications you do to our G35's require your disconnecting the negative side of the battery while installing...but not much more than an hour, and never overnight! Gary
Sitting over night being unplugged your ECU can get very stupid, nothing works as intended! Last and only time I made this mistake my idle was barely 200 rpm along with everything else being screwed up. Took SLICK to my favorite GT-R mechanic (Nissan) and he reset everything within minutes with his hand held...no charge! Gary
Yea I’m still low tried everything idk what else it Could be my 1st an 2nd gear is rough low idle an my accessory lights has a slight flash to it battery is good but Alternator is at 15volts

Are you making sure to do the idle air recalibration when the engine is FULLY up to temp (including transmission) and with EVERY power consumer turned off? This includes radio, AC controller (completely off, not just the fan turned off), headlights, etc.
If the lights don't flash properly during the recalibration then you didn't do it right.
