Rip

Alright i replaced the thermostat and coolant finally started circulating i bled out the air and there wasnt much air in the system......everything seemed fine until i started to drive......two pinholes on my radiator that squirted antifreeze everywhere! so great...gonna have to replace the radiator.....now im wondering if that was caused by preasure or that was always there. Honestly i had 1500 saved up for repairs but ive already spent a good amount and running low on money. im probably gonna end up selling it after i fix this, you guys are right it probably wasnt the best decision on my current budget but man i love this car

The radiator end caps are plastic so they are known to fail over time. Replacement radiators are not expensive.

You bought a car that came out 15 years ago, you should have definitely expected to drop money in it for repairs.

I bought a replacement radiator off eBay for like 60 bucks almost 4 years when I did my water pump and timing chain. Don't give up on the G just yet.

What year is your car? Other than fan motors seizing, bushings, and some other issues my car has been pretty reliable and I bought it brand new in 06 (wow, 13 years ago).

so im having someone change the radiator for me and while hes at it hes also changing the waterpump. 300 in labor plus parts. I really hope i didnt blow a headgasket and if i did i hope heads arent warped. Also, does anyone know if this is normal? when i was refilling the radiator i had a no spill funnel on and when the engine warmed up the antifreeze funnel level raised up....but i saw no bubbles (maybe 1 or 2 over a 10 minute period) just steam....im not car savy so im not sure if that was normal. when i turned the car off there was a bunch of bubbles as it turned off....

Lol stop being a fairy and get ya hands dirty and learn about the vehicle and save yourself some in repairs. Like everyone else stated above me it's a 15 year old car so expect to be repairing things as they break. If you really like the car you'll be willing to learn to repair it yourself and save some money.

Excuses, excuses, lol. All you need is a basic socket set, catch pan, and some coolant to get that radiator swapped out!
