strange, the g35c isnt a performance car?

Some argued that Infiniti needed a performance car, whereas the Nissan brand already has the 350Z.

Man, that blows.

So if I want to buy the GTR, then I have to go back to those horrible Nissan dealerships? Oh well...

What I will find interesting is how Nissan will market a car probably in the 60-70k range? The majority of people that appreciate what the GTR is may be too young to afford it.

Makes me wonder what's their "specific target customer". If they are targeting the Porsche crowd, it would make more sense to badge it as an Infiniti. If they are targeting the Corvette crowd, I suppose there's no harm in badging it a Nissan. Actually it might be good for us who dreams of owning a GT-R. Badging it a Nissan would, in theory, keep the car's price lower. Perhaps a GT-R in the $50k range?

I'm not sure what Nissan Dealers you've been going to, but with my hefty list of mods below, they've been the only cool cats to work on my car without pulling the warranty card...

No matter what it's badged, someone will just HAVE to re-badge it to the other!

I agree. I really hope it stays a Nissan.....the Infiniti badging would probably jack the GTR price up a couple of thousand easy.

Well, because of this, they can only deny me warranty work if they can prove a mod did it. BUT, Performance Nissan has never given me any crap about the mods I have...so....no issues so far.

Having owned a 240SX & a Frontier in addition to my G35c, I've _ALWAYS_ had a better service/sales experience with Nissan dealers instead of Infiniti. The 2 Infiniti dealers I've been forced to deal with have been an exasperating experience. I'd gladly go to the Nissan dealer anytime....

i dont think its a really smart idea to come out with the gtr. it's not like its gonna be any better than the modded out gs. basically, nissan/infiniti is competing against themselves. they need to come out with something new....anyone agree? disagree?

A GTR badged as Nissan will do Nissan what the Supra did to Toyota. If that happens, I see only hardcore car freaks paying so much for the Nissan name. The alternative would be more of an upscale sports car for the average yuppie who can afford it.

Just my 2c.

The new GTR is going to have upwards of 450hp at the crank using a 3.2L VQ specially designed for FI. It will also have a new version of the ATTESA AWD and the chassis will be the precursor to the next generation G35. Lotus is supposedly doing the fine tuning of the handling. Its probably going to destroy any modded G35 out there right now in overall performance. Hell, the GTR 5 years ago could rip apart our G35s. The new one is supposedly going to do better.
